Somehow there was a mistake however..the name was not George Burton but rather David Burton Appling. I am afraid i do not have dates, but it would have been David's father who immigrated from Wales to South Carolina. Somehow i really feel there is a connection here. I will try to find more info somehow. Thank you very much for your suggestions.
