Was Samuel Appleton born ca 1850 the son of William and Cornelia Appling of Fayette Co., AL?
Could William's name of been James William and Cornelia's name been Cornelia Elizabeth?
Samuel's death record list father as James Appleton and mother as Cornelia. I found in Fayette Co., AL 1850

Cornelia 26 AL
Mary 9
Elizabeth 5
Jane 3
Stephen Taylor 25

Mary age 9 above married Winchester Wooley and, I've been told in Winchester's pension record Samuel Appleton there is a letter from Samuel Appleton saying he knew Winchester and his wife Mary was Samuel's sister.
Anyone know anything about this?
