My great great great grandparents were Jacob and Sarah (Stratton)Applegate. Jacob and Sarah had numerous children: Mary, John, Martha, Josiah, Sarah Jane (Jennie), Ella, Pauline, etc. I am descended from Jacob and Sarah's daughter Jennie.
My understanding is that Jacob was descended from the Thomas Applegate who came to America from England in the 1630s. Several years ago I received detailed information on the descendants of Thomas Applegate, and I was led to believe that I am descended from Thomas through Daniel Applegate and his wife Rebecca Tilton, etc.
After reading the posts on this site, I am wondering if the information I received is accurate. I would like to share the information I have with anyone who is descended from Jacob and Sarah Applegate. I would also welcome comments from anyone who is descended from any of Jacob's siblings.
