Dear Joe,
I am eager to hear the results of your reunion. My grandfather (mervin applegarth) was born in Martin's Ferry, West Virginia. He had several sisters and a brother still living. The family moved to Bellair, Ohio. HIs father (William Applegarth) was a good muscician. His grandfather(also William) had a brother named Robert who we believe moved away to Arkansas after the War Between the States. At one point in the early 1940's , Grandpa inherited a castle in England. Sadly, he had to renounce his American citizenship to claim it. This he declined to do. As he said , it was probably just a pile of rocks. Sincerely, Pamela
