I have that his father was John Appleby born abt 1765 in Cumberland County, KY and died abt 1845 in Clinton County, Kentucky. Mother was Mary Long born 1772 Cumberland County, died 9/1/1854, Clinton County. My sources for this information is from our local professional geneologist and the book Early Times in Clinton County by Jack Ferguson, Vol 1 published 1986.
I descend from his son William Allen on my mother's side and also from Sallie on my father's side. I descend from Sallie's son Edward Clayton.
