I am looking for relatives to the Charles J. Appleby who was born about 1850, Chatauqua, NY and lived in Tarentum PA until his death about 1905.
He was a Professional Photographer for many years.
I am wanting to find some of his photos to digitize for my family history.
Charles married Carrie Cook (Caroline)and they had many children. Because he worked with dangerous chemicals developing photos, it said in his obituary he had a disease (kidney?) and had to change occupations.
The family operated a shoe store by the railroad track in Tarentum for some years before Charles died.
My COOK, Trenary, Drury families lived nearby in the industrial villages of Tarentum and Natrona.
I think that Charles Appleby must have taken photos of them! Please help!
