Hello, my name is Wayne Hill. My mother's mother's father was John Robert Appleby, said to be from Maryland. He died at the Naval Hospital in Norfolk, Virginia, in 1915. I therefore assume he was in the Navy and I'm looking into that. His body was shipped to Hanover (I believe), PA. That's about all I know. He was 23 when he died. Though a long-shot, any help would be appreciated.
