Dear Forum - I am hoping someone may be able to help me with this inquiry. Herb Appleby was a Civil War vet and Post Master of the Old Bridge Post Office at the turn of the century. He had a daughter, Alice Appleby DeVoe. In the 1940s, Alice's son, Fred Devoe purchased his grandfather's house and donated it to East Brunswick Township in memory of his mother. My question is this: Does anyone know the names of Herbert's children, when they were born, and if any one of them (or his wife) passed away in this house (166 Main Street, East Brunswick). The reason I ask is that in 1984, I had an "experience" involving a woman's voice calling to me from the upstairs, and I am trying to determine who it may have possibly been. Alice did not pass in the house, so I do not think it is her. I don't want to creep anybody out by this post, but I do appreciate your assistance. Thanks, Rich Walling
