Charles was born 1855 in New York, and his parents were born in New Hampshire. This was from the statements on the 1900 U.S.Census of Tarentum, Allegheny Co, PA. He married Carrie Cook about 1881 in Tarentum/Natrona Allegheny Co, PA. I do not have a marriage record.
Their son Clarence W. Appleby was living with widowed mother in Tarentum on 1920 Census in Tarentum. Perhaps he had a son Chas J. born later in MO? I do not know where they were after 1920, except for dau, Helen"Honey" who m Mr. Waltenbaugh and went to Ohio.
