APPLEBY family Query:
I am researching my ancestors FRANCIS (Frank) APPLEBY, born c.1823, England (ref. a) and his wife ELIZABETH _?_ born c.1827 Scotland (ref. a). I could sure use some help identifying and proving the parents of both of these ancestors!
Frank and Elizabeth are the parents of (1) Henrietta born a.1844, (2) Elizabeth, born .June 21 1846, (3) Isabella (Belle), born: Oct 16 1847, (4) Eleanor M. (or Helen) born Sep 06 1849, (5) Albert F. born a.1853 in Maine, and (6) Charles M. born a.1867, Kentucky. Note: All four daughters were born in Montreal, Quebec, Canada (ref. b). My Great Grandmother Isabella Appleby died in Minneapolis, Hennepin Co., Minnesota on January 09 1890 and her death record shows that her father and mother were born in Scotland and England.
I have found extracted data on a FRANCIS APPLEBY born Oct. 05, 1823 in Sunderland, Durham, England, a son of WILLIAM APPLEBY and wife MARY MACINTOSH in the IGI (ref. c). I personally "feel" confident that William and Mary are the parents of my Francis Appleby. I have no proof documents to link the Francis born in England to the one who fathered four daughters in Montreal, Quebec, Canada, except for compatible dates of birth information between (ref. a) and (ref. c).
