I'm looking for information about the origins of our Appleby relatives. My grandmother was
Nettie Appleby, born in Texas in 1889. Her father was James Newton Appleby, born in Arkansas in 1856. His father was James Barney Appleby, born in 1839. We're not sure where he was from or who his parents were.

We do have a long line of Quakers on this side of the family, including the Hales.
Samuel Allan Hale married Nettie Appleby.

Can you shed any light on the origins of our Appleby's?
