I am unsure on this fact, but we did make an attempt to save these papers. Unfortunately we were unsuccessful in the bidding for the item, due to the exchange rate. Bidding in Australian Dollars, I was not willing to exhaust a large lump of our Australian members funds in bidding for the item. Had I been able to contact our English head office during the bidding period, and change the bidding to Pounds Sterling or US Dollars, we may have been more successful. We made several bids on the item, but in the end,we had to bow out.
