I am looking for any info. on Avon and Virginia Apperson. They lived in West Virginia all their lives. They had 13 children[Alaric,Thaddus,Symboline,Don,Elmisha,Amos,
Alvin,Avalene,Icalene,Billy,Mereda,Neva and Edna Apperson].Avon was born April 20,1893 in Kingsville[we think] and Virginia{Edmond}
Apperson was born in July 3 1898 in Randoff or Upsur.Avon was a coal miner from the age of 12 to 70. He worked in Barbour County and other counties. He was the first coal miner to use the machine for coal mining and his picture is in a museum in Washington D.C. for this. I would like some more info on the family history. I do know Avon's fathers name is Hugh Thomas Apperson, and his mother or grandmother's name was Patsy Harris we think. If anyone has any info. please E-mail me at Yeather@aol.com.
