Jean thanks for your last note however I'm not sure why you say your Mary Appel can't be my ancestor. My Mary Appel was born in 1814, had children between 1840 and 1856. It seems likely she could have died in 1869. I'll keep pursuing this searching and let you know what I discover. Thanks again.
