Judy, I know of a Katie Zowvar who is Mrs. Valentine Appel. Valentine was born in August 1850 in Mill Creek Junction, Jo Daviess County, Illinois. Married Katie April 10, 1877 in Galena, Illinois. They had four children: Martha, John, Carl, and Tony. Valentine's parents were John Appel and Eva Komm of Bairne or Hanover, Germany. Valentine was one of eight children. Could Mrs. Appel be Katie Zowvar? I have no info on Katie at all ~ no birth/place or death/dates. Is this the same person? Please write.
