"Mrs. Valentine Appel of Iona, died at her home in that city on Sunday last of cancerous breast. She had been ill for several years and little hope was held out for her recovery. The Herald extends heartfelt sympathy to the bereaved ones" Newspaper article handwritten date = "1916 or 1917?"
