They never moved from Chicago. In 1904, when my grandfather was born, Lillian was 41. That would mean she was born about 1863. According to my grandfather's birth certificate, she was born in Chicago. I think she came from a large family. My grandfather thought she might have a connection with Wisconsin. Where does you Appel family come from?
