I'm searching for information on Henry Appel, b. 1856 (this according to the 1900 Census for Philadelphia, Pa), his wife, Margaret, b. Sep 1859 in Germany. They had 7 children: Henry (b. Feb 1883), Lilly (b. Sep 1886) who married William Craig in Philadelphia, Pa., William (b. Jan 1889), Albert (b. Nov 1891), Walter (b. May 1894), John (b. Sep 1897), and Margaret (b. 1901).
Albert Appel (b. Nov 1891) married Cecilia Herzog in 1916. She was my grandmother's sister.
Albert and Cecilia had 4 children: Albert, Jr. (b. 1921), Robert (b. 1924), Mildred (b. Jan 1925), and William (b. Jun 1926). Albert, Jr. died 4 Jan 1944 on board the USS Turner, a US Navy ship blown up in the NY Harbor.
I would love to meet an Appel Cousin.....
