One theory for the name change, since it was four relatives Georgen Nannay, LeGrand Mead Nanny, Thomas Smith Nanny and Warren H. Nanny, that changed their names to Anway, at the onset (and only four), is that it may have had something to do with the Welsh surname Anwyl, which also was prevalent in Llanfacreth or Dollgellau. By the way, thank you for the phoentic sprlling Dole Geth Lay.
