I have written a 100 page book on the Nanney/Anway family (the cost to reproduce and mail is $12.00. I also have Judith Anway Crandall's 100 page book.. She charges $35.00 and out of respect for her copyright, I would refer anyone interested to her.
Was it Silas B. Anway who was written up in the book Progressive Men in Montana. I haven't been able to locate that book yet.

Do you know the butial place of George Anway Sr. who lived and I believe died in Delaware County, OH.

I have much on William Anway of Seneca,OH although he is only an uncle, not a grandfather. He appears to have been the most affluent of the Anway Family in the 1800(s).

My book talks about four theories of the corruption of our surname from Nanney to Anway (none of them proven). I as well as many others do have proof positive of the surname corruption which ocurred between 1798 and 1811 in Cayuga County, N.Y.

Do you have any birth records of Abraham or James Anway Sr.?
