Hi Lewis, Eugene Brevard Antley published a book entitled: "SOUTHERN FAMILIES: One Man's Search for Roots" where he discussed your Gambrells as well as the Dantzlers, Brevards, Antleys and several others. He provided me with a copy many years ago at nominal cost and hopefully he still has some left. If not, he may not mind if I copy those dozen pages from it for you.
