Hello to all fellow Antleys. I am one of many 3rd Great-Grandsons of Abraham Antley (1784-12/1/1886). The branch between us is:
Abraham, John Joseph, Tillman Dibble, Edwin Ansel, Burnon Ashe, ME.
I have corresponded with many other Antleys, all of whom have been a terrific help in finding links, etc. They have all also been great motivators and helped me focus my research. I just wanted to thank them publicly (they know who they are).
I'll be beginning research at the South Carolina Department of Archives and History in Columbia. They have a wide variety of records on microfilm as well as the originals. Records include: legislative, court, executive, land, military, county, and secretary of state ledgers (wills, inventories, estates, marriage settlements, commissions, mortgages, bills of sale, etc.)
I will share any and all information I gather there in this forum. I already have a great deal of information on the Abraham line as well as the Dantzler line into which he married. I'd be more than happy to share my GEDCOM file with anyone who might like a copy.
