The Nichols connection: I do believe everyone I've ever encountered who's researching the Willis Antle family is primarily a Nichols researcher. As a former boss was wont to say, 'How very curious!' :)
Lorenzy D./Lawrence Antle or Nichols: my best guesses are that 1) this is the same person, and 2) he was the son of Mary A. 'Polly' Nichols aka Polly Antle.
Mary A. Antle or Nichols (b. c. 1864): circumstantial supposition (how's that for a fifty cent waffle??) possibly would indicate she was another child of Polly Nichols/Antle. That however, is purely speculation and is subject to recall under the cold hard light of fact.
Willis' missing children, 1860 Adair Co. census: I've puzzled considerably over this anomaly but can find no reasonable explanation.
I'll be happy to post a full abstract of Surena/Serena Frances' death certificate if you'd like. jdee
