Went to the site you suggested on Ancestry - problem, they have "William Anthony M.D" as father to Ida May Anthony who married Edward D. Cooper.Ida's obituary reads:From a newspaper: handwritten date of Feb 5, 1946.
Mrs. Ida M. Anthony Cooper, aged 74, widow of Edward Cooper, of Butler RD 2, died at the Butler County Memorial Hospital at 11:30 o'clock yesterday.
Mrs. Cooper was born in Armstrong Co. and had resided in this district 39 years.
She leaves a daughter, Mrs. Pearl Hoover, Chicora RD 1; a son, Roy A. of Butler RD2; two sisters, Mrs. Jennie Edwards of Worthington, and Mrs. Clara Bowser of Cowansville; four brothers, Cyrus Anthony of Ford City, Gideon of Slate Lick, Laban of Worthington, and John P. of Ford City; and 2 grandchildren.
The body has been removed to the Thompson Funeral Home, East North ST at McKean St., where the family will receive friends between the hours of 7 and 9 o'clock tonight; 2 and 5 o'clock tomorrow afternoon and 7 and 9 o'clock tomorrow night.
Funeral services will be held from the Thompson funeral home at 1:30 o'clock Friday afternoon with the Rev. Charles D Hindman, officiating. Burial will be in the Kepples Corners cemetery.
I was able to find her brother's obituary, Cyrus E. Anthony, where he lists his parents as "William and Jane Claypool Anthony":From the Kittanning newspaper, The Leader Times
Cyrus E. Anthony
Cyrus E. Anthony, 90 year-old resident of 2058 Oak St., Ford City, died at 8 A.M. today (June 1, 1959) at Armstrong County Memorial Hospital as the result of a fall at his home.
Born August 7, 1868, in North Buffalo Twp., he was a son of William Anthony and Jane Claypool Anthony. He was retired form Pittsburgh Plate Glass Company wells and mines in 1931 after 44 years of service. He was a member of Crooked Creek Presbyterian Church.
Surviving are his wife, Mrs. Myrtle Walker Anthony and one brother, Labian Anthony of Kittanning RD 5.
The family will receive friends at Welch funeral home from 7-9 this evening, from 2-4 and 7-9 P.M. Tuesday and from noon until the 2 P.M. service time Wednesday.Services at the funeral home will be in charge of his pastor, the Rev. Max B. Conley.Burial will be in Crooked Creek cemetery.
So the information on Ancestry is incorrect.I am still looking for Williams’s parents - the William who married Jane Claypool.I was able to find Williams death certificate - under parents:unknown.
