Lynn,
I received both of your messages. Sorry for the delay in answering. And thank you once again for the info. I am going to make one last trip to KY, Tenn, and N.C. in early May for some last chance research. after that I am going to
put this story together.
As for the book, there will be no charge. It is not a commercial endeavor.I am only an amateur genealogist and historian who happens to have a best friend that owns a
print shop. (Hence my publisher.) It will not be on the shelf at Barnes and Noble. (I wish!)
I have uncovered alot of info not just on the Corder-Anthony Party but on the Virginia Party that travelled with them, as well as the rescue party and the aftermath.
My only regret is not being better able to identify the children including Pembrook. I did discover the identity of the little girl who escaped from the Shawnee as thyey were making the attack on our people. With luck I
hope to turnup something on the others during my trip.
I will keep in touch and when this is completed you will be amongst the first to receive a copy.
Sincerely,
Michael
P.S. Awhile back I found a photo of Lewis C. Anthony
It was posted on Ancient Faces .Com. by a Gwen Nolte. Do you know of her?I tried to contact her without success.
