I haven't been able to trace Jacob back any farther than N.C myself.Jacob's father-in-law was Michael Shoffner I, he immigrated to N.C. from Germany in 1739, so his daughter Magdalena "Molly" was almost certainly born in North Carolina.Where Jacob came from I don't know, rumor 1 is that he came to North Carolina from Germany with 3 brothers, I have also heard the Anthony's are Welsh, and that they came from Pennsylvania.Molly's parents are buried in St. Pauls Lutheran Cemetary in Burlington N.C., Along with Jacob and Molly.I have photos of the Anthony plot there if anyone is interested.
I also have tons of other stuff, deeds, stuff about Roddy Anthony (early Texas settler, started the first Church of Christ in Texas). My descendant is Jacob's son Nicholas, and his son Frederick, also an early Tx. settler, although he sold his property in 1837 and moved back to Bedford Co., Tn.He is buried in Dyer Co., Tn.Does anyone know where?
I also have a document that Jacob's father was Jacob Schuster, but it is totally undocumented.Feel free to email me under the heading Jacob [email protected]
