W. P. MOSHER NEPHEW OF SUSAN B. ANTHONYIn Wendell P. Mosher, one of the organizers of the local branch of the Half Century Association of America, Pasadena has citizen who can claim relationship with one of the great reformers of the age, Susan B. Mr. Mosher is a native of New York State, his paternal ancestors being English by nationality, and distinguished in the medical profession. On his mother’s side, he is of New England Quaker stock, several of his ancestors having been prominent in reform movements besides the great woman suffrage leader.Mr. Mosher started life as a telegraph operator at Rochester, N.Y., but has spent the greater part of his life in the insurance business, starting in with the accident branch at St. Louis. After 30 years of experience in accident, employers’ liability and general insurance lines, he became district agent for one of the big companies of the country, stationed at Philadelphia, and later was a general agent at Minneapolis.More recently he was interested in developing mining properties in Arizona. While enjoying a vacation at Los Angeles his attention was called to the work of the Hal Century Association, its objects and accomplishments, and he lined himself up with it, believing that by bread cooperation it would be possible to accomplish the great reform for which it now seems destined.Though he has been living in Los Angeles, he expects to move here next week and reside here permanently.
