Greetings!
Thanks to Ms. Florine Perry, of the Gallardon (France) city hall, and Mr. Maurice Vié, local Gallardon historian, we have our ancestor Nicolas Peltier's baptismal act!!
Ms. Perry transcribes the act, which is written in Latin:
"The seventh day of December [1594] was baptized Nicolas, son of Eloy Pelletier and of Jeanne Nicole, sponsors being _____ Gallou and Mathurine Nicole."
Ms. Perry is still hunting down evidence of the marriage of Nicolas Peltier to Jeanne de Voisy, or the births of any of their children.
