Wesley U. Ansley's parents were Benjamin Strain Ansley (b 6 SEP 1811 NC) and Martha G. Gary (b ~1812 SC). They married 30 OCT 1834 in Newton Co GA. Siblings of Wesley were: Rebecca Hartwell Ansley (named for parents of Martha Gary), William T. Ansley (~1839), Wesley U. Ansley (~1841), James A. Ansley (~1843), M. B. C. Ansley (~1845),
John H. Ansley (~1848 twin), Virginia T. Ansley (~1848 twin), and M. Ann Elizabeth Ansley (~1850). Benjamin married Jane Scott after Martha's death. They didn't have any children, so far as I know. Benjamin's parents were Thomas W. Ansley (NC) & Mary Beaty McKinley (SC); Thomas W.'s parents were William Ansley (1744 New Jersey - 1820 Lincoln Co GA) and Sarah Strayhorn (NC-prob Abbeville Distr SC). William's parents were William Ansley (~1700-1717 - 1763 New Jersey) and Rebecca Unknown. William was first notes in Upper Freehold Monmouth Co NJ in 1735 when he joined Old Tennant Presbyterian Church. Elizabeth Pierson's parents were Jeremiah Pearson (~1798-after 1880) and Elizabeth Pearson (~1806-after 1880). I have been able to trace Marcella (married E. U. Moore) to her children. Gussie and Ernest apparently never married, for they are together in 1920 & 1930 Thomas Co GA censuses. Don't know anything about Wessie. Do you know who Rebecca Hartwell Ansley married? This family seemed to have stayed in Thomas County for a very long time.
