Seeking information on Leonard Ansell. He died in Loudoun County, Virginia ca 1805. He was the father of 12 children. Three of them were Peter, Martin and Melcher Ansell, all of whom moved to the Cabell County (W) Virginia area. Eventually Melcher's descendants moved on to Calhoun County, IL just prior to the Civil War. Martin's branch appeared to stay in the Cabell Co. area, where still some live today. Both Martin and Melcher married daughters of Wendel Wentz. Martin married Hannah Wentz; Melcher married Elizabeth Wentz. I'm willing to share all my information as well as get you in contact with other researchers of this branch.
(I know nothing about what happened to Peter Ansell, the third Ansell son to move to Cabell Co, WV).
