My paternal grandmother was an Annison Apparently she was a scot and her granchildren had to have Scots first names . Ialso have a cousin in Yorkshire named Annis. She married my grandfather approx 1900...her name was Lily Annison.. more research is reqd because I found an unmarked grave dating back to 1840,s which is an Annisonfamily grave and contains approx 5 relatives named Annison.
