Have you done any research on your Brower ancestry? As Charlene Reinhart has so graciously pointed out, the mother of your great grandmother, Rosa Dell (Annis) Schlarb, was Philotha (Brower) Annis.
Joseph Brower (Philotha's father) was born in Ohio circa 1845. His wife, Ophelia (Philotha's mother), was born in Ohio circa 1846. Philotha was born in Indiana circa 1865. This family group was enumerated in the 1870 Census, in Walnut Ridge, North Twp., Marshall Co., IN. Joseph Brower was a fireman at a mill.
It may be no more than mere coincidence, but I have been researching the family of Abraham & Philotha (Webster) Brower, of Montgomery Co., NY, for over 25 years. They had four sons, all born in New York, i.e., Arlineus, Ireneus, Hammond Healy, & Lot Abraham. All four of these men married in Ashtabula Co., Ohio, but none of them had a son, Joseph, born circa 1845.
