Washington Ankeney, born 1844, married Sarah Trubee and Frances was one of their children. Washington was a son of John (1809-1869) and Matilda (Shingledecker)Ankeney. John was a son of Henry (1784-1870) and Anna (Kershner) Ankeney. Anna was Henry's first of three wives. Henry relocated to Greene Co, OH in 1805 from Washington Co, MD. All of Henry's children were born and raised on a homestead in Beaver Creek Township, near Byron, OH.
