I don’t believe Jenkins discussed the father of Dewalt but did present an argument, as Charles Ross Shultz did, that Dewalts first wife’s name was Catherine _________ and not Mary Jane Domer. Based upon his wife’s pregnancy, he disagreed with Shultz that the Dewalt entering the country in 1753 was our Dewalt returning from a trip. The following data which neither must have found shows Jenkins to be correct. Is it possible that some of the data from the 1753 Dewalt was merged with our Dewalt? Included is some work by Gustav Angne which shoes the father to be Johan Heindrich Ankeny (Agne) and Christine Cantor. I attach more credence to authors work where it is apparent that they have done extensive investigations as opposed to jusy listing names. I, therefore, use the data supplied by Gustav Angne, Charles Ross Shultz and Lawrence Jenkins unless primary records are found which contradict. Joh.
