This message is for all William Angus researchers:

According to the National Register of Historical Places, William Angus lived on the 587-acre tract of land on Indian Creek Road near the Village of Lowesville, Amherst County, Virginia prior to 1803. This 587-acre tract of land was part of the now "Forest Hill" Historical Site.

Are there any researchers out there, that have surfaced any copies (or original) records that positively identify this partcular William Angus? I believe this person may have been my GGGGG Grandfather William Angus, believed by many researchers born 1750 in Galloway, Scotland... immigrated to America and Lincastle, Amherst County, Virgina in 1774 where he married Elizabeth Martin, and is believed to have remained in Amherst County until about 1806. After 1806, the paper trail for William Angus and his spouse Elizabeth Martin seems to have vanished into the "WILD."

I would will greatly appreciate hearing from any researchers that have information leading to the true identity of this individual, and his whereabouts after 1806.

Thank You.

Flournoy English
