June,

I too have been trying to track a William Anglin from Southern Il, though I think they are not the same Williams (likely cousins). William H. Anglin b. 1843 and his brother James S. b 1841 both served in B 31st infantry of the civil war. Their parents were Joshua (1812 TN) a blacksmith and Laurena (1815 TN). Children were John N, Elizabeth, James S, Rebecca, Philips. William H. born 1861 was likely a child of one of these, as was possibly my William.
