Are you a Dutch Anglin, an Irish Anglin, or a French Anglin

Here is information I have for origins of the ANGLIN/anglen surname:

1) If the roots are DUTCH, SEE:

http://familytreemaker.com/users/v/a/n/Kurt-R-Van-anglen/index.html

Then click on "The Van Anglen/Rinearson Home Page", and go to "The Reynierson/Van Henglen Family Book".

2) If the roots are FRENCH,

There is a book, "In Search of Anglins", by Evelyn West Williams, self published 1982. It charts the ANGLIN family lines from 1693 France to present. You can get information from this book without owning it, from the Rootsweb website called, "Books We Own" (BWO, for short). You can request a look-up for your family's info. via e-mail. Go to.....

http://www.rootsweb.com/~bwo/surac.html#Anglin

When you get to this site, click on the ANGLIN surname, then click on the blue reference number SS2; it will then give you instructions on how to proceed.

3) If the roots are IRISH, check out

http://genealogy.org/~ajmorris/ireland/ireemg.htm

http://genealogy.org/~ajmorris/ireland/ireland.htm

http://www.irishroots.com/books.html

(The first two sites deal with emigrants and ship passenger lists, Irish county info with surname lists, etc.; the third site has Irish reference and genealogy books, I believe for sale !!

Good Luck Anglins/Anglens/Van Anglens, etc........
