In the 1850 census of Limestone Co., Texas,I have a Benjamin Usery, w/m, 13 years old, born in Texas; living with Sarah Ann James w/f/20, years, birthplace, IL., Rebecca E. Anglin, w/f/ 14 yrs. old, born in Texas; Elisha Anglin, w/m, 13 yrs., born TX; Seth B. Anglin, w/m, 11 yrs. old, born in TX; Silas B. Anglin, w/m 7 yrs. old, born TX; and Emaline Anglin, w/f, 3 yrs. old, born in Texas.
Other information on Limestone Co. regarding Lucinda Duty Parker Usry, mother of Cinthia Ann and John Henry Parker, and grandmother of Quanah Parker, states that there was a Benjamin Milam Usry married to Lucinda Parker, widow of Silas Parker. Benjamin Usry died in 1902 at about the age of 63. This would have been about the age that Benjamin in the census would have been in 1902.
I am a decendant of John Bell Wiliam Henry Usary of Tennessee and Texas, an would be interested in sharing notes. It seems that we may have a connection.
