Donna, thanks for your reply. If your family has Andrew's middle name as Lane, then I think that has to be correct, since you're a descendant. I'll change my records.

I have Andrew born 10 May 1816 and died 21 Nov. 1854, both events occurring in Twiggs Co. If that's not correct, please tell me.

I have Sarah born 27 Dec. 1823 in Twiggs Co., died 7 Nov. 1896, Bienville Psh., LA. I do have Sarah married next to John J. Bridger, and I had some information on Violet Bridger, too.

I have quite a bit to share on the Harris and Gregg lines, if you would want it.

I'm now wondering if we might also share a Lane connection. I mentioned previously that two of Sarah's nephews, Simeon Lawrence Harris and Samuel B. Harris, married Holland sisters. These Holland women were granddaughters of Daniel Sumner Holland and Zilpah Lane of Edgecombe Co., NC, who moved to Burke Co., GA, and from there to Twiggs-Dooly Co. There are multiple connections between these Lanes and many of the families who came to the Ringgold area by the 1840s.

Would love to swap information with you.

Best,

Bill
