I am a descendent of the noted "James Anglin from Ireland"... and am currently starting the dig to see where he came from...
I have a document somewhere that has a quote from the daughter, Catherine, that she sent to the govt about providing her father his land grant and they should not "get her Irish temper up"... there was some disagreement about his land grant since he was a recent immigrant even though he fought in the war... a few months after her letter was sent, he received his land grant.
Can you provide any insight into this?
