ANGLIN--ADRION>JOHN W.>JOHN C.>JAMES K.-

I am researching my husband's fraternal grandparents--Anglins of Tenn & Arkansas.
Recently, at the L.D.S. library I found a pedigree listing Adrion Anglin down to James K. Anglin. My father-in-law, Olive Dean Hollaway, (still living) gave me the names of
his grandparents going back to John Washington Anglin. This L.D.S. pedigree matched the grandfathers, but not the grandmothers. He told me his mother, LURA (not Laura) Anglin(b.1886--Ark), was the daughter of JAMES K. POLK and MERDIE GEORGE. James was the son of JOHN CARVER ANGLIN and TENNESSEE ?.(I have a picture of Merdie and Tennessee standing together). JOHN CARVER was the son of JOHN WASHINGTON ANGLIN.
and ELIZABETH CARVER.

I have an entry from a Benton County, Ark., history book. It has a paragraph refering to Jim Anglin and Merdie George's move to Arkansas in 1877 in a covered wagon, living with the George family for awhile. In the 1880 Ark census, I found a James(age 29) and Laura (age 35) married with 4 children listed. On the same census, JOHN W. ANGLIN (42) was living with a TENNESSEE K.(39). First of their children listed was James K. P. (16) born in Illinois. There are 6 children listed in all. Maybe I'm dense, but I can't unravel all of this to get to Lura's
father. Neither of these James's seem to be the right one--although the one married to Laura in 1880 was born in the right year (1851.)Does anyone have any information that might help?

Thank you for your time.
