Looking for the origins of the Angle family in Franklin County, Virginia. Nathaniel C. Angle, a native of Franklin County, married Sarah Frances Wills of Bedford Co., VA. They lived near Ferrum. He was a farmer and a trustee of the Methodist Episcopal Church. He enlisted in the COnfederate Army as a Private in Co. G of the 57th VA Infantry in Oct. 1864. The Angles had come to Virginia from Pennsylvania, and before that, Germany.
