When my grandmother died 10/00 @ 95 I ended up with a book written by my great great uncle on the 1st Angle in our family to come to this country. It was written in 1915 and has many birth dates and names of family members of decendants of Daniel Angle, born 1733 in Brunswick, Germany, who came to America with Burgoyne's army under the command of Baron Riedesel. He was captured with Burgoyne's army at Saratoga and ended up fighting for the Americans and after 3 years of service, was discharged at West Point and received a pension from the Government. He ended up at the Homestead burying grounds on the ridge above Lexington, Greene County, Ney yor in the Catskill mountains. He died on December 2, 1840 at the ripe old age of 107!

I have scanned this little book and created a PDF (acrobat) file of it. If people want it, please e-mail me and I will put it on one of my web servers so that anyone who e-mails me can get the link to down load it. It is a 4x6 book with over 30 pages of birth, name and death records along with some trivia stuff on Daniel Angle.

e-mail me at jca@jonathans.net

Thanks and enjoy my fellow Angle families.
