My search concerns siblings, Dorothy and Cecil Angle. As near we can figure, Cecil was born in 1898 and Dorothy in 1902. Dorothy was admitted to the Methodist Orphanage in St. Louis in 1906; we think Cecil was sent to a boy's home in the same city. Dorothy became the foster child of Cora Defoe of Manchester, MO, in November 1910. Dorothy's birthdate was not known, so Cora shared hers with Dorothy---2-28. Since Dorothy used the "pretend" birthdate for SSN purposes (2-28-1902), SSN put her in a family in Evansville, IN, with a daughter of the same birthdate but named Emma. In the Evansville 1910 census, Emma was in Evansville and Dorothy was with Cora in St. Louis--obviously this was not Dorothy's family. I figured it, then, it would be easier to hunt for Cecil that, too, is proving fruitless. Does anybody have any leads on this Cecil?? I would appreciate any help! Regards--Barb Canoy Beven
