How do you know they are Huguenot? The name hasn't come up in any research I have done. That isn't to say that they are not, but do you have any concrete evidence? My family were spelt Anger in the Whittlesea, Cambs records from 1683 - c. 1750 and were then spelt variously Anngier, Angier, Aungier, Aunger and then Ainger, which settled at the modern spelling for my line in 1785. I am stuck with William Anger marrying Sarah Peake in Whittlesea in 1683 and can't find any links to earlier Boyd's marriage records.
I'd be happy to discuss any/all of the above with you.
