Vanessa, thank you for the info, this family is so confusing to me, perhaps this will help me get it through my thick head when I have a chance to study it a little more.

However, I do not at all understand what you are saying when you say he "gained the freedom of the Fishmongers Co. by patrimony."

I am fairly new at genealogy (on the internet at least) and this is as far back as I have gotten on any of the family lines. This one is my husbands.
I married an Angell.
