Thanks so much for the helpful information. The man who is an Angel descendant is online now, his e-mail address is jackangel@juno.com

Lewis Angel was his great-great grandfather. He has been searching for some years and I don't actually know exactly how much information he has, but he did tell me he'd gotten as far as Ferdinand and then could go no further, at least conclusively.

So if you would like more information in the future, it might be well for you to contact him directly. His great-grandmother Eleanor Pelkey married Lewis Angel and Eleanor was a sister to my great-grandmother so I was trying to help him a bit by posting the Angel/Angell query.
