Searching for data on ANGELLE's from the St. Landry or St. Martin Parishes. Looking for data concerning a Martin ANGELLE (black)who was a half brother to possibly two or three other siblings. Not sure of their father's name. That's the ANGELLE person that I'm looking for. He would be Martin's real father. He and his wife took Martin in after his real mom (a black lady - maybe a slave) died shortly after his birth. This white ANGELLE raised his mulatto son, Martin, along with his other white kids. I was told that of his other kids there were two daughters and one son. The son was called "GAYON". Not sure if this was a nickname or his real name. Please contact me if this info sounds familiar.
