Sorry so late in answering you. Harley m. Mary Elizabeth Shoals July 14, 1861 in Brooklyn,Ct Mary b. Aug. 15, 1833 d. May 28, 1878. Mary was the dau. of Orrin and Ardelia L. (Sweet) Shoals. Orrin was the son of Abial and Mary (Whittemore)Shoals. Orrin b. May 4 1813 Brooklyn, Ct. d. Jan 6, 1894 Plainfield, Ct. Ardelia b.1814 d. Nov 9 1892 Plainfield,Ct.
Harley d. 1858 and Mary m. Abner Johnson as his second wife 1861.
I found something of interest. In the 1850 census of Ct. Lisbon, New London county, Abner Johnson 31, his wife Sarah Ann 25, son Charly 9months, were living with a Harley Angell age 16. Sarah and Harley born in RI. I wonder if they were related? Poss aunt to Harley or maybe cousins? After Sarah d. in 1861 Abner m. widowed Mary E. Angell. So the families were close to say the least.
Do you know if Reed crosses with Angell? Thank you.
