Researching the family of Jacob & Mary Angell from Carroll County Maryland, 1850 census, Records indicate he may have been born in Maryland in 1803. In 1850 they moved to Jeferson County Va.Now Harpers Ferry. In the 1860 census I only pick up the oldest son, Nelson and his wife Harriet Weddell with six children, one my grandfather, John J. Angell, whome I loose with the rest of the family ( except one ) after that.
John J. shows up in Pgh in 1902 and marries my grandmother, Frances Devlin. His second marriage. I have no record of his first. JHA
